There's no methodology. There's no way to hold anyone accountable when the "top-rated clinic" turns out to be a warranty-void trap.
Best Dental Surgery exists to fix that. We rank countries and procedures using six criteria. We publish the criteria, the weights, and the sources. When we change a ranking, we say why. When Colombia wins, we show our work; when it doesn't, we show that too.
Best Dental Surgery is published by Scout Theory LLC, an Ohio-registered company operating a network of medical tourism content properties. Our editorial team is based between Medellín and Columbus, Ohio, and our on-the-ground presence in Colombia gives us direct vetting access to the region we cover most.
When a patient uses our quote request service to route their information to verified clinics, we may receive a facilitation fee if the patient books. We don't accept advertising on this site. We don't take flat referral fees from specific clinics — the fee structure is the same across every ranked destination, so we have no financial incentive to steer patients toward any specific country or clinic. If a clinic offered us a higher fee to appear higher in our rankings, we'd say no. If a clinic paid us to write a favorable review, we wouldn't.

It's also why our Colombia rankings are held to the same six-criteria standard as every other country's — we can't afford to publish rankings that don't hold up under scrutiny.
