Independent rankings for dental surgery abroad, and how we build them
Best Dental Surgery ranks seven destinations for dental work abroad across cost, quality of care, warranty enforcement, English fluency, flight access and credential verification. It is written for patients weighing a trip, not for the clinics they are weighing.
What this site is
Best Dental Surgery is an editorial site and only that. No clinic owns it, it does not take bookings, and it does not sell leads. Every ranking is cited to source, and the full set is refreshed quarterly so the picture stays current as prices, regulation and flight access change.
The rankings are organized two ways. By destination, we compare seven countries side by side. By procedure, we compare the same countries for one specific treatment, because the winner changes with the work: the country that makes sense for All-on-4 implants is not necessarily the one that makes sense for veneers. The home page currently lists fourteen procedure rankings alongside the country rankings and a separate guide to destinations under $10K.
How we rank
Six criteria run through everything we publish. The weighting is set out on the Methodology page, and each ranking names the sources behind its scores. Advertising has no influence on the order, because there is no advertising to influence it.

Who it is for
Most of our comparisons are written with North American patients in mind, because the trade-off they face is specific. Mexico is close. Turkey is often the cheapest on paper. Colombia sits between them on price while keeping the flight home short. Our rankings put real weight on what happens after the first visit, since a second trip, an adjustment or a complication can erase a lower package price. That is also why cheapest and best value are treated as two different questions on this site, with two different answers.
Beyond the rankings
